The pad is secured around the pole with double stitched Velcro straps The pole padding wrap is comprised of two-inch-thick high impact foam that is wrapped in all-weather vinyl that is mildew and UV resistant.

According to the International Padel Federation, the lateral net posts must be protected and cushioned against player contact with a thickness not less than 2 cm.
