Description

Single sticks provide the proper 42” net height at the sidelines for singles play when using a doubles tennis net.

These silver singles sticks are made from 3/4” aluminum with protective end caps and injection-molded “V” groove for the net headband. Sold per pair.

The rules of tennis state that the height of the net should be 36” in the center. Additionally, the rules specify that the height of the net above the sidelines should be 42”. Since courts are designed to accommodate singles and doubles play, the net post is installed just outside of the double’s sidelines. This leaves a 42” height above the double’s sidelines not the singles, making the net too low on the singles sidelines. Thankfully singles sticks quickly fix this issue and when positioned correctly, they give the net a pronounced “V” shaped slope and set the singles sidelines at the proper net height of 42”.
